1. Who We Are
Braider Ally is an online booking and business management platform for independent hair braiders. Braider Ally is a registered doing-business-as (DBA) name operated by OMI SANJO WINIFRED EPSE NGWAYUH. We provide software; participating braiders are independent businesses responsible for their own services.
2. Information We Collect
When braiders register, we may collect their names, business names, contact details, account credentials, service listings, availability, subscription and billing details. When customers book appointments, we may process names, phone numbers, email addresses where provided, appointment details, booking changes, communication preferences, and SMS consent records. We may also collect technical information necessary for security and operation, such as device and browser details and access logs.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate accounts and booking pages; connect customers with the selected braider; manage appointments and communications; facilitate billing and customer support; protect the service; and comply with legal obligations. We do not treat consent to appointment notifications as consent to unrelated marketing.
4. Appointment SMS and Consent
If a customer affirmatively opts in during booking, Braider Ally may facilitate appointment-related text messages on behalf of the selected independent braider. Messages may include confirmations, approvals, reminders, rescheduling updates, and cancellations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance where supported. Consent is not a condition of purchasing hair-braiding services. SMS consent should be collected through a clear, optional, unchecked choice and recorded by the booking system.
5. Mobile Information and Marketing
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are used for authorized appointment communications and necessary service operations, not for third-party promotional campaigns.
6. Who Receives Information
Appointment information is available to the independent braider with whom the customer books. We may use service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, messaging, payments, security, and support. Providers receive information only as needed for their services. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
7. Payments
Subscription and supported booking payments may be handled by third-party payment providers. Those providers process payment details under their own terms and privacy notices. Braider Ally does not itself provide hair-braiding services.
8. Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information, but no system is completely secure. We retain data as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it when appropriate.
9. Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable law and verification. Customers can also contact the independent braider who manages their appointment. California residents may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
10. Cookies and Third-Party Links
The website may use essential cookies and similar technologies for functionality, sessions, and security. Third-party websites linked from our service have their own privacy practices.
11. Children
The platform is not intended for independent use by children under 13. Contact us if you believe information was collected from a child improperly.
12. Changes
We may revise this Privacy Policy and post the updated version here with a new effective date.
